About Us

Who We Are

Welcome to Loose Podiatry and Chiropody Practice where we care about you and your foot health. Our story starts with Alison Berger, our founding podiatrist. Her love for foot care has made our practice what it is today.

Alison studied at the Wessex School of Podiatry in Southampton where she became a qualified podiatrist in 1991. From there, she worked for the National Health Service for eight years which exposed her to a variety of different foot problems and allowed her to further her skills and knowledge on how best to treat foot related problems.

In 1997, Alison started the Loose Chiropody & Podiatry Practice as she wanted to give people personal and complete foot care. This was the foundation of our promise to give great foot care to our community.

In 2001, we opened our new clinic on Cripple Street which helped us offer more services and treat more foot health issues. Since then, we have had many new patients alongside our loyal, returning patients come to us for help, showing that our patients trust us and are very satisfied with our care.

At Loose Podiatry and Chiropody Practice, we use our years of experience and training to ensure we provide excellent foot care. We also specialise our treatment plans to cater for each individual patient, depending on what is needed. One of our aims is to provide the best care in a welcoming and friendly place.

In 2024, Alison's son Aaron Berger became a qualified podiatrist after completing his degree at the University of Brighton. Since then he has been working in the NHS alongside supporting The Loose Podiatry Practice as a private practitioner. Aaron is passionate about helping people stay active, comfortable, and confident on their feet.

We'd love for you to try our services and join our happy group of patients. Your path to healthier feet starts here!
